Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), the same team who produced Hamilton, will direct the musical. Ashford was Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, based off the scandal which involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the national security crisis. She starred in two seasons of hit CBS comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the series also starred legendary performers Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No stranger to Broadway Ashford was awarded the Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance as Essie as Essie in You Can't Take It with You. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are amongst her additional Broadway performances. Ashford divides her time between Los Angeles & New York. Her birthplace was in Denver and was raised in Denver.
