Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress and songwriter for several years. Sara Ramirez was brought up by an American mother, and encountered a number of racial slurs and caused her to feel uncomfortable. It was during her ninth grade that she gained confidence following her acclaim in an audition. She not only gained confidence from the experience however, she also re-evaluate her plans for her career. She attended the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. She started her professional journey at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. The role in The lad from The Lake was her biggest breakthrough, bringing her the Tony Award in addition to the acclaim of critics for her performance. Following that she was made the lead character the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her becoming more famous. Known as a singer she has also released a single as well as an extended play. She has also been a vocal advocate for LGBT concerns.
